FRANK HARTS is back as Detective JT Tarmel on the hit show Prodigal Son for Fox/Warner Brothers Television. Raised in the Midwest, Frank is of mixed heritage with Southern roots on the African-American side and Brooklyn roots on the Irish side. He has a sound that many casting directors have called familiar, malleable, and uniquely his own. Frank is easy to direct and delivers a confident approach and fast turnaround to every assignment. He is available for live connection as well as worldwide online audio delivery.
In the animation world, Frank has utilized his impersonation skills on Robert Smigel's SNL TV Funhouse as the voice of P. Diddy and his myriad other characters include the likes of Winston Churchill and Eddie Murphy. In the gaming space, his voice work includes the portrayal of several characters in the universally acclaimed “Red Dead Redemption 2” for Rockstar Games.
On camera, Frank has worked with notable film directors Spike Lee, Jason Bateman, Jim Jarmusch, Steve McQueen, and Kenneth Branagh. He has also worked for commercial clients including McDonald's, IBM, TD Bank, KFC, Campbell's Soup, Pepsi, Bank of America, and Oral B.
Frank went directly from training at Juilliard onto Broadway as George Murchison in the Tony Award Winning production of A Raisin in The Sun. He has also performed leading roles for The Public Theater, Signature, and Lincoln Center.
Prior to his series regular role on Prodigal Son, Frank recurred or guest-starred on Billions, The Americans, The Leftovers, Blue Bloods, Bull, 30 Rock, and Master of None in the critically acclaimed episode “New York, I Love You.”
